THE TOWN OF RAMSGATE PUB, OLIVER'S WHARF
The oldest pub on the river on what is now the corner of Wapping High Street and Wapping Old Stairs, was in need of major renovation of it's last major Victorian refit. Bar top glass store had been added in the 1970's and someone had been out with the red staining varnish and stick on formica. Once removed and restored, a beautiful warm oak bar back was revealed along with a wonderfully patinated mahogany bar top.
